Abstract

1,176,325. Vehicle headlamps. P.M.G. THORPE Ltd. 13 June, 1967 [30 July, 1966], No. 34316/66. Heading F4R. A sealed beam unit U is held resiliently in a groove 2 at the mouth of a substantially parabolic or dished housing 1 made of rubber or other resilient material. The housing is attached to a vehicle by means of a mounting stirrup 12, the limbs of which embrace an integral lug 4 on the housing and are pivotally connected thereto by a bolt 7 and the base of which supports a vertical bolt (not shown) adapted to engage the vehicle body. The bore in the lug 4 through which the bolt 7 passes is lined with a metal bush 6.
