Abstract

1,168,745. Calendar timepieces. DAINI SEIKOSHA K.K. June 19, 1968 [Aug. 14, 1967], No.29186/68. Heading G3T. A calendar timepiece includes a clutch for selectively coupling a rotary stem either to a hands-setting mechanism or to a date correcting mechanism. When the rotary stem 1, having a crown (not shown), is in an outer position the teeth 6a of a clutch wheel 6 secured to the stem 1 engage the teeth of a date ring 8, so that rotation of the stem 1 adjusts the date ring 8. In an innermost position of the stem 1 teeth 6b on the clutch wheel 6 engage the setting wheel 7, which may then be adjusted by rotation of the stem 1 to set the hands of the timepiece. In an intermediate position the clutch wheel 6 engages neither the date ring 8 or the setting wheel 7. The stem 1 is held in each of its three alternative positions by the engagement of a pin 2c, on a lever 2 coupled to the stem 1, in recesses 3a, 3b, or 3c, respectively, in a spring member 3.
