Abstract
1,167,124. Lining ladles. BADISCHE MASCHINENFABRIK G.m.b.H. 20 Feb., 1968 [25 Feb., 1967], No. 8222/68. Heading F4B. A ladle 5 is lined by having mouldable material thrown from a rotating slinger wheel 15 into the annular gap between the jacket 6 of the ladle and a removable shell 7 within it, as it rotates on a turntable 3. A template 9 having the same shape as the annular gap to be filled is mounted on top of the shell or the jacket and is provided with an upstanding limb, on either side of which guide rollers 17 run. The rollers 17 are carried on an arm secured to the slinger wheel 15, and due to the rotation of the template with the ladle, positively guide the slinger wheel to follow any out of roundness of the annular gap to ensure its even filling. In a modification (Fig. 4, not shown), the position of the arm carrying the guide rollers is adjustable with respect to the slinger wheel, whereby a wide annular gap may be sequentially filled by a series of concentric cylinders of the material. Preferably the adjustment is automatic being dependent on a preselectable number of revolutions of the turntable.
