Abstract

1,156,457. Textile stop motion. HAMEL, PROJEKTIERUNGS - UND VERWALTUNGS, A.G. 17 March, 1967 [6 April, 1966], No. 12628/67. Heading D1D. In a twisting frame in which separate delivery devices 4, 5 and 4', 5' are provided for each thread each thread is monitored by a separate means, e.g. by pivoted feelers 3a, 31a, and associated with combined delivery stopping means, so that on any thread breaking or being absent all the delivery mechanisms will be stopped. As shown if thread 1, or 1' breaks the corresponding guide 3a, 31a falls and an associated arm bears against member 15 or 15' to move a bar 14 in the direction of the arrow. This movement causes wedges 13, 13' mounted on pivoted arms 12, 12' to move between the delivery rollers and lift the top one out of engagement with the bottom one thus stopping delivery. Breakage of thread may be arranged to close an electric circuit of an electromagnet which moves bar 14. An hydraulic arrangement may, alternatively be used.
