A seal for a pipe joint comprises combined sealing and locking rings 15, 16 which are interconnected by a sleeve 14 and provided with oppositely-directed sealing tori 20, 22 and relatively sharp-edged locking lips 19, 23. The seal may be made of rubber or neoprene.
