816,559. Pipe joints. ZILLER, H. Oct. 25, 1957, No. 33433/57. Class 99(1). [Also in Group XXVI] A wedge-shaped ring forming the packing between the opposing flanges 10, 11 of two pipes inclined to one another comprises two wedgeshaped ring members 1, 2, which are angularly adjustable relative to one another to vary the wedge angle of the composite ring and are provided with one or more sealing rings 3, 4 and 6 vulcanised thereto. The ring members 1, 2 are rotatably secured together by spring- loaded bolts 7 in the member 2 engaging a recess 9 in the member 1. Alternatively the securing means may be provided on the outer edges of the rings.
