A nut frame 12 is adapted to be moved axially on rotation of a lead screw 10 by the engagement of rollers 58, carried on radial journals 60 mounted on the frame 12, with the flanks 28 of a helical thread of rectangular cross-section formed on the screw 10, groups of rollers 38 also being mounted on the frame 12 and engaging the outer land 30 of the screw thread. Adjustment of the rollers 58 is provided by mounting the journals 60 eccentric to studs 62 which are locked in position by set screws 63, Fig. 3. Adjustment of the rollers 38 is provided by screws located in recesses 4, 6. The nut frame 12 is supported from a fixed guide plate 16 by rollers 18, 20 and 22
