1,136,600. Collecting dust-free air for motors. MASSEY-FERGUSON G.m.b.H. 18 July, 1966 [23 July, 1965], No. 31403/65. Heading B7H. [Also in Divisions B1-B2] Air is filtered by passage through a rotating screen 24, the portion 25 near to the axis being imperforate, so that centrifugal force prevents clogging of all the perforate portion. As shown, screen 24 is of cylindrical form and is mounted on the radiator 14 of an agricultural machine, air being drawn through screen 24 by the engine fan 11 and impinging on fan blades 23 attached to screen 24 so as to rotate the screen. Additional blades (26), (Figs. 4-7, not shown) generate a reverse flow through the gap between the inner end of screen 24 and fixed flange plate 17 to prevent air from by-passing the screen.
