Abstract

1,092,288. Suspended roof NAUCHNOISSLEDOVATELSKY INSTITUTE BETONA I ZHELEZOBETONA. Nov. 8, 1964, No. 19209/64. Heading E1W. A polygonal suspended roof comprises flexible corner and contour guys arranged in a web-like form and supported by corner columns interconnected by a ring beam. Each contour guy 2 is connected at each of its corners to a corner guy 3 (Fig. 12) via a hinged joint supported on links 15 which are free to move along the carrier guys associated with contour guys nearer the interior of the roof. The corner guys are anchored to the columns 4 (Figure 16) via beams 31 spanning between the vertical frame members 26 of a frame 26-28 which can move by means of skids 29 or rollers on rails 25 fixed to the columns. Roof panels 37 (Fig. 23) are fixed to the contour guys 2 by means of rings 41 carrying square-headed bolts 42 which pass up, (as shown), or down, (Fig. 24, not shown), through plates 40 fixed to and projecting from the sides of the panels 37. The rings are thus located below, as shown, or within, (Fig. 24, not shown), the depth of the panels, and the spaces above the rings are fitted with, e.g. foamed plastics 45, above which are glued waterproof strips 46.
