[Also in Division E2] A door plate B, for mounting a door latch operating handle A, comprises a central boss b<SP>1</SP> with radial lugs b extending symmetrically, each lug b having a peripherial recess b<SP>2</SP> on its side adjacent the door A<SP>1</SP> to receive inturned lugs c on a peripheral flange c<SP>l</SP> of a cover plate C having a central bore to receive the handle A. The lugs c may be tapered, serrated or notched to facilitate locking of the cover C in the recesses b<SP>2</SP>.
