Abstract

1,065,215. Toothed gearing. R. G. PREUX. May 14, 1964 [May 25, 1963], No. 20159/64. Heading F2Q. An epicyclic reduction gear comprises a planet pinion P1 meshing a fixed toothed annulus C1 and an internally toothed annulus C2 secured to an output shaft A1, the numbess of teeth on the annuli C1, C2 being different. A toothed wheel R1 is secured to planet pinion P1 and meshes a toothed pinion P2 on an input shaft. A plant carrier comprises members M1, M2 held together by pins B1 and screws V1, the member M1 being journalled on an extension of the output shaft A1, and the member M2 being journalled in the housing. The planet pinion P1 may comprise two connected pinions having different tooth-number and module characteristics. In a modification, the rotary elements are mounted in ball-bearings.
