Abstract
1,059,510. Endless conveyers. N. R. HALLENIUS. March 15, 1965 [March 16, 1964], No. 10778/65. Heading B8A. Rows of stacks of crates 16 on a pallet 2 on an up-stream conveyer 1 are transferred to a downstream conveyer 17 by a transfer device running on rails- 3. The transfer device comprises a carriage 4 carrying two upright members 5 on respective sides of the stacks of crates. The members 5 carry gripping plates 14 resiliently mounted by rubber members 15 (Fig. 4, not shown). The members 5 are urged into gripping engagement with a row of stacks by the action of pneumatic means 6 (Fig. 1, not shown). The row is then lifted by the action of a pneumatic cylinder 11 (Fig. 3, not shown), and the carriage 4 is moved along to the conveyer 17.
