Abstract

851,980. Endless pusher conveyers. HAYWARD, H. M., and HUMPHREY, L. A. Sept. 24, 1958, No. 30447/58. Class 78 (1). [Also in Group XVI] In a machine for printing plastic containers (see Group XVI) an endless conveyer is provided for moving a pallet 76 holding the containers 79 under the printing cylinder 38. The conveyer comprises a triplex chain 15 mounted on idler wheels 16, 17 and is driven by sprockets 26. Arms 86 are pivoted to central links of the conveyer at intervals and each carries either a long finger 84 or a short finger 85. A slide 87 mounted beneath the top part of the conveyer engages the arms 86 so that the fingers 84, 85 are held perpendicular to the conveyer. The fingers engage horizontal catch bars 83, 83a in a groove in the bottom of the pallet 76 and advance the pallet. Specification 751,924 and Australian Specification 211,307 are referred to.
