Abstract

A pesticidal plant spray concentrate comprises a viscous liquid polypropylene characterised by a viscosity of from 40 to 20,000 SSU at 21 DEG F in an amount of from 50 to 90 per cent by weight and a diluent selected from a solvent therefor or water. The concentrate may contain anionic, non-ionic or cationic surfactants many are specified. Specific examples relate to the use of sorbitan trioleate, alkaryl polyether alcohol, and alkaryl sulphonates. Specified solvents are aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, white oil, mineral spirits, butanols and cyclohexanone. The concentrates may be formulated into emulsions, aqueous dispersions, solutions and aerosols pressurised with air, nitrogen or chloro-fluorinated hydrocarbons.
