Abstract

976,684. Electromagnetic switches. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. May 29, 1963 [May 29, 1962], No. 21505/63. Heading H2B. Auxiliary contact sets of an electromagnetic contactor are in the form of sealed magnetic contact devices mounted on a stationary part of the contactor and actuated by the approach of a magnet mounted on the contact carrier of the contactor. As shown a permanent magnet 2 is secured to the contact carrier 1 in one of the apertures normally reserved for main bridging contacts and a sealed magnetic contact unit 3 passes through the aperture and is secured to fixed contact members which would normally co-operate with a bridging contact. The sealed units may be mounted on the casing of the contactor and the permanent magnet may be mounted on the carrier at 2<SP>1</SP>. Any number of bridging contacts may be replaced by sealed units.
