A two-layer sintered contact body, having a high resistance to welding, has one layer (the contact layer) of Ag-Pb and the other layer (the soldering layer) of pure silver, copper or a silver alloy with a preponderant proportion of silver. The soldering layer is luted on the soldering side. The porosity of the contact layer is between 5% and 20% by volume, and preferably the lead content of the contact layer is from 2% to 20% by weight. Preferably also the thickness of the contact layer is at least half the thickness of the body.
