1,014,691. Loading ramps for ships. GEORGE BROWN & CO. (MARINE) Ltd. and J. G. BROWN. Aug. 14, 1964 [May 16, 1963], No. 14781/63. Headings B8E and B8H. [Also in Division B7] A vessel (see Division B7) is provided with an external ramp 18 which can be extended over a quay 19 and is hinged at 20 to a platform that can be raised or lowered by threaded rod or hydraulic ram devices to position the ramp to suit the height of the vessel relative to the quay and an internal ramp 21 hinged at one end to the platform, the other end being adjustable (via said hydraulic ram device or via a winch 10a) to deliver cargo on to or receive cargo from one or more decks.
