Abstract

1,008,060. Laminates. HALMATIC Ltd. Oct. 27, 1961 [July 28, 1960], No. 26269/60. Addition to 748,395. Heading B5N. A former used in the method claimed in the parent Specification is made with top and side walls and is strengthened by'forming the side walls with ribs or corrugations. As shown, a former 1 of channel-section and of light gauge metal such as aluminium, has a top wall and sloping side walls 3, and the walls 3 are formed with ribs 4 of arcuate section, the edges of which taper towards the top wall. The former is placed on a base 2 of resin reinforced with glass fabric and supports further layers of resinimpregnated reinforcement placed over it.
