Abstract

481,604. Bricks. HENRY, 0. D. Sept. 16, 1936, No. 25188. [Class 87 (i.)] A stave-like brick for use in the building of hollow structures such as cylindrical silos, storage bins and tanks is provided on one vertical edge with a rounded rib 8 and on the opposite edge with a segmental groove 9. A rounded rib 7 is provided on the outer face of the brick at the grooved edge and horizontal grooves 12 are provided in this rib to receive bonding hoops surrounding the hollow structure. The brick is provided with a metal reinforcement 10, 11 and with an interengaging rib 21 and recess on its lower and upper surfaces. Spacing projections 13 are also provided.
