Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the field of the automobile, and more particularly to the assembly of motor vehicles on a semi-automated assembly line. . It is known to mount various members of a vehicle, in particular bodywork parts and various other members (wheels, exhaust line, reservoir) on a supporting structure - commonly known as platinum for the preparation of mechanical members or more simply by its acronym POM - in a position corresponding to the final position of the bodies on the vehicle, and fix the organs on the body thereof without the need to move the carrier structure. Such a solution is known in particular from EP 0 919 456. A new problem arises from the need, for certain vehicles, to graft one or more additional members (such as an additional reservoir) out of the usual zone of maneuver of the platinum POM. Since the workshop environment of the POM platen is strictly adapted to its equipment, the grafting of new equipment for mounting additional organs is not easy. A graft on the upper surface of the platen is unthinkable due to the bulkiness of this surface by existing mounting equipment. As for a graft on the edges of the plate, it proves delicate because of the need, at the end of assembly line, to retract the platinum POM in the ground (for the return to the beginning of line) by a hatches whose dimensions correspond, with an operating clearance, to the overall dimensions of the plate. A first objective is therefore to allow the mounting of additional bodies on a vehicle from an existing POM platen. A second objective is to enable the grafting, on an existing POM deck, of a new mounting equipment without modifying the architecture of the stage, and in particular the position of the existing mounting equipment.
A third objective is to allow such a transplant without reducing the maneuverability of the platinum, in particular its retraction into the soil at the end of the production line. For this purpose, it is proposed, according to a first object, a support plate for mounting equipment of a motor vehicle on an assembly line, this plate comprising an auxiliary support for an additional member, this support comprising at least one movable arm between: an extended position in which the arm protrudes from an edge of the platen; a folded position in which the arm extends adjacent the edge of the plate. It is thus possible to mount an additional member without substantial modification of an existing plate, and possibly to allow the retraction of the latter without hindering its movement. It is proposed, according to a second object, an assembly line equipped with at least one such plate. Various additional features may be provided, alone or in combination: the arm is mounted articulated about an axis of rotation; the axis of rotation of the arm is located near the edge of the plate; the support comprises a pair of movable arms; the arms are coupled; the arms are mounted articulated each around an axis of rotation, and are coupled by means of a lever; the axes of rotation of the arms are offset relative to one another in at least one direction perpendicular to the edge of the plate; the lever is articulated, at a first end, to a first arm, at a first distance from its axis of rotation, and, at a second end, to the second arm, at a second distance from its axis of rotation greater than the first distance; the or each arm is provided at one free end with a jack. Other objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent in the light of the description of a preferred embodiment, given hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a plate of integrated assembly to a motor vehicle assembly line, this plate being equipped with a movable support shown in an extended position; Figure 2 is a perspective view showing a detail of the plate of Figure 1; Figure 3 is a view similar to Figure 2, showing the plate with solid line, the support in the retracted position and, in dashed, the support in the deployed position; Figure 4 is a top view of the plate shown in Figure 3; Figure 5 is a perspective view showing the plate being retracted into a hatch. In Figure 1 is partially shown a line 1 of assembly of motor vehicles. This line 1 comprises, for each vehicle, a platen 2 for the preparation of mechanical members (POM). This plate 2 comprises a plurality of supports 3 for the prepositioning of vehicle components, intended to be mounted on the body thereof in the position where they are on the plate 2.
Among these bodies, include, but not limited to: a running gear, a spare wheel, an exhaust line, a main tank. As shown in the figures, the plate 2 is mounted on a sled 4 which circulates along the line as the vehicle advances in the production line. Arrived at the end of the line, the sled 4 is in line with a hatch 5 made in the ground, by which the sled 4 is intended to be retracted (once the plate without its organs), to be rerouted in head of line to be recycled in line 1 assembly.
In addition to its ordinary supports, the plate 2 is further provided with an auxiliary support 6 for mounting an additional member 7 on the vehicle, in this case an additional reservoir (in particular a fuel tank to be fixed under a bowl spare wheel).
This auxiliary support 6 comprises at least one arm 8, 9 movable between: an extended position in which the or each arm 8, 9 extends projecting from an edge 10 (here a rear transverse edge) of the plate 2 ; a folded position in which the or each arm 8, 9 extends adjacent to the edge 10 of the plate 2. According to a preferred embodiment, illustrated in the figures, the auxiliary support 6 comprises a pair of arms 8, 9 mobile. Each arm 8, 9 is essentially in the form of a metal beam, and is articulated, by an inner end, about an axis 11, 12 of rotation perpendicular to an upper face of the plate. The axis 11, 12 of rotation of each respective arm 8, 9 is formed by a pivot mounted in a yoke 13, 14 fixed on the upper face of the plate 2, in the vicinity of the edge 10 thereof. The yokes 13, 14 (and therefore the axes 11, 12 of rotation) are preferably offset relative to each other, at least longitudinally, that is to say perpendicularly to the edge 10 of the plate 2. Advantageously, and as shown in the figures, the yokes 13, 14 are also offset transversely, that is to say parallel to the edge 10 of the plate 2. In this way, the arms 8, 9 can be arranged jointly and without overlap in their folded position, parallel to the edge 10 of the plate 2. At a free outer end, each arm 8, 9 is preferably provided with a jack 16 providing support for the member 7 (in part 1). 'species the tank) additional to mount. This jack 16 is actuated by means of a crank 17 which, in its direction of rotation, ensures the lifting or on the contrary the lowering. According to a preferred embodiment, the arms 8, 9 are coupled to each other by means of a lever 18 articulated: by a first end, to a first arm 8, at a first distance from its axis 11 of rotation, by a second end, to the second arm, at a second distance from its axis 12 of rotation, this second distance being greater than the first distance, so that in the deployed position of the arms 8, 9 the lever 18 is extends obliquely with respect to the edge 10 of the plate 2.
The arms 8, 9 are thus synchronized by being coupled in rotation, the rotation of one imposing the rotation of the other, and vice versa, via the lever 18. The length of the lever 18 and the positioning of its anchors in each arm 8, 9 conditions the configuration of the arms 8, 9 both in the deployed position (visible in dashed lines in FIGS. 3 and 4) and in the folded position (visible in solid lines in FIG. 4). These parameters are chosen so that in position deployed (when the auxiliary support 6 is to be used) the arms 8, 9 protrude from the edge 10 of the plate 2 to form a V whose apex angle is between 30 ° and 120 °, and for example about 60 ° as illustrated in Figure 4, while in the folded position the arms 8, 9 extend substantially parallel to each other, and adjacent the edge 10 of the plate 2 when the auxiliary support 6 is not used.
Fixed complementary supports 19, possibly provided with jacks 20, can be positioned on the edge 10 of the plate 2 to ensure jointly with the support 6 auxiliary support of the member 7, as shown in the figures. Furthermore, the deployment and folding of the auxiliary support 6 can be assisted by means of a return member 21, in this case a tension spring tensioned between a first finger 22 integral with the plate 2 and a second finger 23 secured to of the support 6. In the example illustrated, the spring 21 is stretched between a first finger 22 provided projecting on the yoke 13 and a second finger 23 provided projecting on the arm 8. The spring 21 ensures by its tensile force the stably maintaining the support 6 in both the deployed position, as illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 2 (as well as in dashed lines in FIGS. 3 and 4) and in the folded position, as illustrated in FIG. 5 (as well as in FIG. in full lines in Figures 3 and 4), the rocker between these two stable positions being performed in a position where the arm 8 extends substantially perpendicularly to the edge 10 of the plate 2. The foregoing provisions have the following advantages. First, the auxiliary support 6, mounted on an edge 10 of the plate 2, does not encroach on the useful surface of the plate 2 on which are mounted the other conventional supports 3. Secondly, the auxiliary support 6 in the folded position has a small footprint that does not interfere with the retraction of the plate 2 (with its sled 4) in the hatch 5, as illustrated by the arrows of Figure 5. Third, the passage from the deployed position to the folded position is simply by manual operation. The coupling of the arms 8, 9 also allows to fold (or deploy) simultaneously the two arms 8, 9 by acting only one of them. In addition, this coupling allows precise and predetermined positioning in the deployed position, without the need for manual adjustment.
