Abstract

The nozzle (13) is mounted on a support (14) carried on a piston (15) sliding in a horizontal cylinder (16) fixed (17) to the bodywork. A resilient (24) bracket (22,23), fixed to the nozzle support block front, carries a concealing trim (12), push-fitting on two studs (25), with a deflector channel (20) at the top. When retracted by the piston, the support block passes through an aperture (11) in the bumper (4), finally concealed by the trim. A pump (18), drawing down a reservoir (19) both impels the piston forwards and supplies wash liquid under pressure to the nozzle, whose spray is directed by the deflector channel on to the headlamp glass (31).
