Abstract

Device for checking and adjusting the geometry of the front and rear axle assembly of motor vehicles and the like. The invention relates to a device making it possible to save considerable time in fitting, reading and correction. There is no mechanical or other linkage between the two half-rules, which reduces the bulk to a minimum. The lack of manipulation of the rule in a fixed position allows accurate and reliable measurements to be taken. It consists of tubes and bars of various shapes, feet, gauge rods, trussed bearings, mechanical components machined from steel or other alloy, lead wire, a double metre or other measurement apparatus. The hollow adaptors are protected by components made of rubber or the like.
