Abstract

Device making it possible to prevent the detonation phenomenon in internal combustion engines by the use of two fuels with a different octane number each one supplying a carburetter C1 and C2, the carburetter C1 being controlled directly by the accelerator T, the carburetter C2 being controlled in a different way. The carburetted mixture of the two fuels in the intake pipe P constitutes a carburetted mixture with a variable octane number. Provision is made for the opening of the carburetter C2 to be able to be activated by a servo motor S slaved to the variation in depression prevailing in the intake pipe P.
