Abstract

The instrument is intended to measure and indicate instantaneously the residual play existing under elastic fasteners of the "Nabla" type, intended for clamping railway rails. The measurement is obtained by the difference in levels existing between the two contact points made at 8a and 8b on the framework 6 on the top of the fastener 1 and the contact point 8c of the sliding rod 9 placed at the centre of the "Nabla" fastener 1 at its upper part.
