Abstract

The heater has a combustion chamber inside a heat exchanger, its burner being fed by a fuel pump, while combustion air is supplied by a fan, pref. driven by an i.e. engine. The fuel pump is supplied by an electric generator driven from the engine, and the air pipe, discharges into an annular chamber round the combustion chamber. From the annular chamber secondary air flows into the combustion chamber at a point opposite the fuel inlet. An air-pressure monitoring device (29) is connected to the air supply pipe (9), and functions at a predetermined minimum pressure. The device can be connected to the pipe by a throttle acting as a damper.
