Abstract

La présente invention concerne une tuyère de soufflage utilisable dans tout convertisseur affinant des métaux liquides par insufflation d'un gaz oxydant, qui peut être de l'oxygène pur. A cet effet, la présente invention a pour objet une tuyère de soufflage constituée d'au moins deux tubes métalliques ménageant entre eux un certain espace, dont le tube extérieur est alimenté en un fluide protecteur contre l'usure de la tuyère à chaud, dont le (ou les) tube intérieur est alimenté en un gaz oxydant, cette tuyère étant caractérisée en ce que l'ensemble de la section transversale de passage du gaz oxydant présente la forme d'une étoile à plusieurs branches. L'invention s'applique spécialement bien aux convertisseurs d'affinage de la fonte liquide en acier, soufflant de l'oxygène pur par le fond, de bas en haut.
