Abstract

L'invention concerne la métallurgie. Le four faisant l'objet de l'invention est du type comportant une chambre de fusion 1, une chambre de raffinage 3 et un dispositif pour le chargement des déchets dans la chambre de fusion 1, et est caractérisé en ce que, entre la chambre de fusion 1 et la chambre de raffinage 3 est prévue une chambre 2 d'accumulation du produit fondu, communiquant en permanence avec la chambre de fusion 1 et périodiquement avec la chambre de raffinage 3, toutes des chambres étant disposées en cascade de manière que le produit fondu passe successivement de l'une dans l'autre L'invention permet notamment de faire fondre aussi bien les gros déchets non dépouillés, contenant des pièces en fer avec obtention directe d'alliages de nuance prédéterminé.
