Abstract

The keel (1) of a sailing vessel, which can be raised and lowered in a tunnel in the hull (2) incorporates a slide (5) which enables it to move inside a guiding recess (6) in the hull. This prevents angular misalignment while the vessel is sailing, due to pressure of the water against it, and also prevents changes of shape due to its slope.
