A shallow-draught vessel has its bottom made concave in the bow section (Fig. 3), while its stern section (Fig. 6) is made approximately flat, the bottom having keel-shaped lines amidships (Figs. 4 and 5) which smoothly continue into concave lines in the bow section and into flat lines in the stern section.
