Abstract

L'invention concerne un manchon polymère formant la surface externe d'un rouleau. Elle se rapporte à un manchon thermorétractable biaxialement, destiné à être placé sur un cylindre de section prismatique ou circulaire, la surface latérale du cylindre étant revêtue du manchon qui a subi un retrait thermique biaxial qui laisse une contrainte résiduelle biaxiale d'au moins 1% dans la matière. Celle-ci est avantageusement un polymère fluoré. Le manchon est avantageusement collé par un adhésif élastomère de silicone. Il peut être utilisé à des températures dépassant 150 degrés C. Application au séchage et à la teinture des textiles.
