Abstract

Window latch is operated by a push-rod recessed in the window rail and adjustably mounted on the push-rod, the adjustment being perpendicular to the plane of the window. The push-rod(42) is recessed in a rebate and covered by a plate(36). The latch(46) engages in a fitting (48) mounted on the window frame. The latch(46) is fixed to an arm(62) with an pivoted mounting (64) on the push-rod(42). An eccentric adjuster(70), stiffly pivoted(72) on the push-rod(42), acts in a slot(78) in the latch arm (62) to adjust and secure the latch(46).
