Abstract

The lockable vice has a base, a jaw being slidable on a guide. The base is fixed by screws, and has an overhanging extension which carries a second jaw. The slidable jaw is operable by a locking device with a long pitch screw, this being mounted behind the movable jaw above the vice mounting bench. The base extension pref. has a mounting with a vertical face which bears against the edge of the being and is held by bolts or screws. The jaw guide may be a rail which extends for the length of the base.
