658,453. Striking plates. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Aug. 30, 1949, No. 22516. Convention date, Sept. 3, 1948. [Class 44] An adjustable striking plate, shown in horizontal section in Fig. 3 and in perspective in Fig. 4, comprises a supporting element 11 secured to the frame of a refrigerator or the like, a striking element supporting member 17 mounted thereon by screws 21, 22 passing through slots 19, 20 to provide vertical adjustment and a striking element 25 secured to the member 17 by a screw 27 passing through a slot 26 therein to provide horizontal adjustment, a tailpiece 34 of the striking element being slidably received in an opening 33 in the member 17. Trim pieces 35, 36 are secured to each side of the striking element 25 by a screw 39 at one end and a spring clip 41 at the other.
