Abstract

L'invention concerne un joint d'étanchéité pour pompe centrifuge, du type comprenant un anneau de frottement, une membrane élastique annulaire dont une extrémité est solidaire de l'anneau de frottement, un boîtier annulaire auquel est fixée l'autre extrémité de la membrane, ledit boîtier comportant une paroi radiale terminale reliant une paroi extérieure destinée à etre emmanchée dans un logement de la pompe et une paroi intérieure, et un organe de rappel agissant pour écarter mutuellement les deux extrémités de la membrane. Selon l'invention, l'extrémité de la membrane solidaire de l'anneau de frottement est fixée à un anneau extérieur dont le diamètre extérieur est inférieur au diamètre intérieur de la partie extérieure dudit boîtier, et l'extrémité opposée de la membrane est en contact avec la partie radiale et la partie intérieure du boîtier.
