Abstract

Polyélectrolytes amphotères et leur procédé de préparation. Ces produits électrolytes amphotères peuvent être préparés en copolymérisant un monomère vinylique cationique, tel que le chlorure de beta -méthacryloxyéthyltriméthylammonium, un monomère vinylique anionique, tel que l'acide acrylique, et un monomère vinylique tel que l'acrylamide, éventuellement avec un monomère vinylique non ionique tel que l'acrylonitrile, dans un solvant en présence d'un catalyseur. La présente invention est particulièrement utile pour fournir des polyélectrolytes amphotères, employés comme additifs pour papier, capables de conférer la résistance à l'état sec au papier, comme produits de floculation et comme agents de déshydratation à poids moléculaire élevé.
