Abstract

a. La culture des micro-organismes s'effectue ici sur des hydrocarbures comme sources de carbone pour obtenir des protéines unicellulaires. b. On choisit, comme hydrocarbures, des fractions à température d'ébullition plus élevée que les fractions choisies habituellement à cette fin, dont le nombre d'atomes de carbone est égal au moins à 17 en moyenne, et on prolonge la durée de séjour dans la cuve de fermentation pendant au moins 5 heures. c. La production de biomasse est plus importante avec une consommation moindre d'énergie et une meilleure utilisation de l'hydrocarbure et de l'oxygène.
