Abstract

L'invention concerne un catalyseur utile pour polymériser des oléfines comprenant un composé de magnésium, un composé de titane ou de vanadium et un composé organométallique et éventuellement, un acide carboxylique ou son dérivé. Selon l'invention, un solide formé en faisant réagir (i) un composé d'organomagnésium ayant pour formule générale M alpha Mg beta Rp **1 - Rq **2X r Ys où alpha est 0 ou un nombre supérieur à 0; beta est un nombre supérieur à 0; p, q, r et s sont chacun 0 ou des nombres supérieurs à 0 avec la relation p + q + r + s + m alpha + 2 beta ; M est un élément métallique du groupe I à III de la table périodique; m est une valence de M; R**1 et R**2 sont des groupes hydrocarbures identiques ou différents ayant de 1 à 20 atomes de carbone; X et Y sont des groupe identiques ou différents d'halogène, OR**3, OSiR**4R**5R**6, NR**7R**8 ou SR9 et R**3, R**4, R**5, R**6, R**7 et R** 8 sont chacun un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe hydrocarbure, R** 9 est un groupe hydrocarbure, avec (ii) un composé de siloxane contenant une liaison Si-H et ayant la formule générale Ha SiClb R4 - (a - b) où a et b sont des nombres supérieurs à 0, avec la relation a + b =< 4, est utilisé comme matière première du catalyseur. L'invention s'applique notamment à la polymérisation du propylène ou des mélanges de propylène et d'autres oléfines.
