Abstract
The heater has twelve cylindrical vessels arranged in three groups of four each. Each vessel contains electric heating elements dipping into it and water returning from the radiators flows successively through all the vessels. The heating elements are controlled in a sequential manner by a central controller. This receives an input from three thermostats connected in series. The first thermostat detects room air temperature, the second detects the temperature of the water leaving the heater and the third is a high limit water temperature cut out. The heater can be put within the rooms being heated. It requires no fuel store, is clean and easily controlled from within the room.
