Abstract

A greenhouse comprises a frame work to which are attached sheets of plastic film. At least one of the walls of the greenhouse, pref. the roof, has two plastic films sealed together at the edges. A gas (pref. air) is pumped into the space between the two films to produce an air pocket between them. The greenhouse is used particularly for horticulture and for growing flower seedlings. the strength of the greenhouse is increased so it is more resistant to strong winds. The roof does not collect water which if heavy can rupture the plastic film. Heat loss through the roof is reduced.
