Abstract

The connection system for pipes utilises an approximately U-shaped member(2) with a cylindrical profile(6), a curved interior(8) and an external screw thread. There is also a small cylindrical insert(4) with a central borehole(12) and a counterbore into which fits a packing piece(14). The external screw of the U-shaped member mates with a similar thread(18) in a cylindrical bush(16). The latter has an external hexagonal nut form to facilitate the fixing of the bush on the screw(30) of a connecting pipe(28), the latter in turn having a T-junction to a pipe under control of the shut-off valve(32).
