Abstract

The carton is made in one piece and it may be erected automatically. The portion (3) of the blank forming the sides of the carton have a strip (1) between them and the flaps (2) which form the base. This strip has parallel sides, marked out by fold lines (4, 5) and its width is that of the height the base is to be raised above the ground. The strip has cutouts (6) at the corner angles to prevent overlapping of material and the fold lines are perforated (8) to facilitate folding. The strip is folded upwards against the walls of the carton before assembling the base.
