Abstract

The tension member and the tension wedge are together pressed into the anchor unit, by a force acting on both member and wedge from outside, in the direction towards the stressed-concrete structure. A smaller degree of friction is pref. generated between the external surfaces of the tension wedges and the hole walling in the anchor unii, than between unit, than between the tension wedges and the tension wire. The exertion of pressure on the tension wire (2) and anchoring wedge (3) can be effected by a ring (7) enclosing the projecting end of the wire and bonded to it. The max. diameter of the wedge may be twice that of the tension wire. The teeth inside the wedge are not subjected to damage.
