Abstract

The peristaltic pump for conveying liquids in a sterile condition, has an inner rotor and an outer ring to act as a pressure member for the flexible tube which is positioned between them, thus giving a pressure path which is a complete closed loop. The rotor carries a set of ball bearing mounted rings which press the tube against the outer ring. Each of the set of rings is mounted on a spindle which can be secured in any required position along a radial slot in the inner rotor plate so that different thicknesses of the tube can receive the correct pressure, giving complete or partial emptying for each rotation.
