Abstract

The hitch comprises a drawbar and a hitching bollard retractable beneath the chassis and behind the bumper by rotation and subsequent sliding in the lengthwise direction. It is locked in position by a spring-loaded pin (34, 37). The pin can slide in a housing fixed to the vehicle chassis, engaging in a drilling in the drawbar. In the latter there can be a groove with a lengthwise and a peripheral portion, in which a boss fixed to the housing engages so as to guide the bar movement. The complete assembly can be accommodated in a rectangular housing fixed underneath the vehicle chassis, and with reinforcing rings where the bar bears against it.
