Abstract

1334940 Anti-theft devices for towing sockets RAYDYOT Ltd 27 Jan 1972 [22 April 1971] 10683/71 Heading B7J An anti-theft device for the socket portion of a ball-and-socket towing hitch comprises a U- shaped bracket with parallel arms 16 and a projecting bridge 18, the arms being slotted to receive a staple 22 having a deformed head 24 at one end and a hole 26, to receive a padlock, at the other end. In use, the arms embrace the sides of the socket head, the bridge enters the ball-receiving socket and the staple passes through the socket head handle.
