Abstract

Tip and pivot window arm adjuster lock works in two positions, at 180 deg. to one another on the arm or the bracket supporting this and can be used on left or right hand fitments. Parallel to the longitudinal axis (7) of the arm (1) or the bracket (10) is a slider (18). This has a locking pin (20) protruding alongside the swivel axis (5) to engage selectively in holes offset by 180 deg. (22) for this purpose, on the arm or the bracket as appropriate. A stay (4) should carry a pivot bolt (5) to project beyond the rear end of the arm so as to swivel round in the pivot hole (15) fitted in the bracket (10). The stay should have two grooves (21) on the sides to accept the slider here designed as a spring wire bow (18) in such a way as the guide the bow legs and engage the pin ends (20) in the locating holes (22) as indicated.
