Abstract
For use in either material of thermal exchange between gaseous and liquid media, the body is in the form of a honeycomb made up of thin sheet, plate, or foil plastics material the cells of the honeycomb defining the multiple parallel channels being of any desired regular polygonal plan section. At the sides of each wall, near to its neighbours, are rows of chevron blisters formed esp. by pressing and similar but horizontal blisters run in a central line between those at the edges. The horizontal corrugations may be esp. alternately on the two faces of the plate forming the wall. Cheap simple method of increasing effective contact area between the media by the formation of vortices etc.
