Abstract

Universal rolling mill stand with vertical and horizontal rolls arranged in a vertical plane has an intermediate horizontal closed chassis (I) for guiding the vertical roll checks and by means of which the lower horizontal roll may be lifted and lowered. (I) is freely guided vertically and is connected to the lower horizontal roll checks so as to be adjustable in height during (roll) position changing by half the given adjustment of the roll checks.
