Abstract

The cylinder block for an internal combustion engine has a distributor (10) with a cup-shaped housing with a spindle (12) connected to a governor driving a cam (13) on top. This operates a roller arm to open and close a switch. This is mounted on an interruptor plate (16), adjusted by an external diaphragm valve (17) with a connection (22) to the suction line of the engine. The membrane (19) moves against the force of a spring (25) under the cover and is connected by an arm (23) with the interruptor plate. The arm carries a pressure member (26) so that the operation of the distributor is modified depending on the altitude of the road along which the vehicle travels.
