Abstract

1528666 Fluid-pressure servomotor BEHRTHOMSON DEHNSTOFFREGLER GmbH 27 April 1976 [3 May 1975] 17016/76 Heading G3P [Also in Divisions F1 and F2] A thermally actuated valve suitable for thermal control over vacuum adjusted timing devices for internal combustion engines has a sensor in which an expandable substance 2 (gas, liquid or wax) is enclosed in a housing 1 by a diaphragm 9 secured by a guide 8 for a piston 3 and a casing 15 connected to the sensor and having ports 16, 17; the piston 3 having a valve surface 21 which is normally seated on a sealing ring 20 by a spring 22. As shown the casing has axially directed connecting pieces 24, 25 and is attached to the sensor by a bent over edge 23. A stop 14 is provided to limit piston movement by contacting a flange 28. Alternatively the connecting pieces may be radially disposed.
